Collect:

First things first. I will want to gather as much information about your business as I can get my hands on. Basically I’m going to research your company top to bottom and get to know what you are about. This is a good thing. It means I’m designing from the inside out.

Define:

Having  this information it’s then time to define how best to deliver your message and what you offer to your prospective and current customers. Whether it’s via branding, web site, printed materials or all of the above  I’m now going to hone that message to get the best results and return on investment for you.

Plan:

Now it’s time to map out our strategy. If I am creating collateral marketing material such as leave behinds or brochures, for example, then I will go over your content and decide how it is to be presented, i.e., what should be your introduction, what images will best illustrate the narrative of you message and what order the key points need to be arranged.

On the other hand, if it’s a web site then the plan is more involved as there is more content to consider and we would be developing the most direct and quality content driven way to engage your customers.

Step one is crucial to the success of the rest of the project and assures that the next two steps flow smoothly.
